So you think Cameroon only scores at football? Well think again!
The African nation’s fashionistas have landed and they are taking over London!
Courtesy of fresh new style hub, Camer Couture, doyens Anggy Haif and Olivia Ervi will join forces with exciting newcomers KiRette Couture, Bot I Lam, Rose Mbango and Ms Mi to transform the rustic Shoreditch Studios into a fashion nirvana.
Save the date, Saturday 17 October 2009.
Fronted by creative heads: Cynthia Anduhtabe, Isabel Bezeng, Ngum Ngafor, Alex Quest and Soraya Sone (freelance consultant), Camer Couture aims to break barriers by creating a rare opportunity for UK fashionistas to see another side of the land dubbed Africa in miniature.
“Our website, www.camercouture.com is now live said CEO, Cynthia Anduhtabe.
It will be an interactive nerve centre of information about the event,” she added.
The exquisite affair will showcase live performances from Cameroonian artists: Muntu Valdo, Serge Tebu as well as Dee, Quest & Band.
It will also feature a raffle sale. All proceeds will benefit the Baka Pygmies, who constitute one of Cameroon’s oldest and most vulnerable societies.
Rub shoulders with chic creators, style insiders, entrepreneurs, and the who’s who of Cameroonian society at an extraordinary night.
“We hope to make our country proud by hosting a show that will raise the bar for events management in our community.
History is just a click away. Hop aboard the Camer Couture website and let’s colour it fabulous together,” enthused Anduhtabe.

Excellent initiative, a encourager!
Par contre y au un truc que je ne comprend pas. C’est du business ou bien c’est a des fins purement caritatives?
